I like this cartoon as it is showing discriminaton . This cartoon is revealing a true and sad aspect of our society that people have hatred for each other because of race and ethnicity.This cartoon is expressing the feelings of African Americans when they are labeled as colored by white people, but Africans don't like to be called colored. In the past, black people have faced tough time and didn't get equality within the society in every thing ;for example, seperate schools, lower rank jobs, seperate towns, seperate restrooms. These differences created restless atmosphere and really hurt blacks emotionally which made them aggressive people.
This one gave me a chuckle. I think it is interesting that both eggs are colored. Also that they both probably came from the same chicken they were just colored differently. It makes more sense if you think of the chicken as America and they are both American but prefer to be labeled differently.
ReplyDeleteThis cartoon also gave me a laugh. My thoughts of this consisted of equality within america. Because of the worlds history with treating the colored americans badly, we forget the the non-colored people should have the same equal rights today. We need to make sure that we don't do the same thing in the reverse direction. If that makes any sense at all.... Overall we just need to make sure everyone has a fair chance in life's opportunities.
